Greek Recipe: Plain Rice Pilaf

GREEK RECIPE: Plain Rice Pilaf

  • 4 cups chicken or meat stock
  • 1 Tbs butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups rice

Bring stock to a boil. Add butter and salt. Stir and add rice slowly. Reduce and simmer over a very low flame 25 minutes. Do not remove lid until ready to serve. Let stand for 10 minutes befor serving. Serves 6 to 8.
