Greece Travel: The Cyclades Map
Staying within any particular Greek island group will make your inter-island connections far easier no matter the group or where your muse might lead you.
All things considered, the Cyclades meet and exceed most peoples expectations of the Greek islands. If you have only a few days to two weeks to spend in Greece you'll find them ideal.
Because of their proximity to Athens and wealth of transport opportunities from island to island, the 19 major Cyclades islands offers the most variety, endless sun, great beaches, ancient ruins, medieval history and embody just about everything the Greek islands have to offer. Swimming, dancing, Greek character, tradition, cuisine and hospitality.
Within our totally flexible suggested itineraries we have included the two most popular Greek island destinations; Mykonos and Santorini as well as, Paros, Naxos and Syros all of which are popular in their own right but less developed and less expensive. We have added Crete as well and other options may be explored by e-mail.
Paros, Naxos and Syros provide most all the amenities you may require from a major European destination like Greece. Crete, Mykonos and Santorini on the other hand offer several different 5 star accommodations options should you wish to explore them but they additionally offer more economical lodgings as well.
If you want to be able to say "I have seen Greece" you must also visit Mykonos and Santorini at least once!
Unsolicited: Hi there, Our trip to Greece and the islands were wonderful. Thanks again for everything. I just wish we could have stayed longer especially in Santorini and Athens. I loved the city and didn't have enough time to explore. The coach tour was great and I'd recommend it to anyone coming to Greece. The holiday was perfect. I hope you have a great summer and anyone needing a travel agency in Greece I will refer to you. Take care, - Margaret McRae
The Cyclades Map:
Off the beaten track islands
If you prefer a more 'off the beaten track approach' to the Greek Islands we can easily make suggestions or itineraries you specify. First we'll check accommodation availability for your dates on the islands you've always wanted to visit.
Next we check the ferry schedules on those dates and the types of ferry available. If there is more than one ferry we inform you of available options and cost. (We'll need your arrival dates and flight time.)
Should you choose to finalize your booking with us, at no extra charge, our service to you includes a welcome pack containing all your ferry tickets, all your hotel vouchers, rental car documents and even maps. In short, everything you'll need to begin your vacation in Greece.
The Cyclades, due to its popularity has several "ferry hub islands". Sooner, rather than later, you'll have to pass thru at least one to reach your destination. With good planning this can no big deal. With bad planning or poor weather it may become a declared emergency.
Especially if you have a pending Athens flight departure abroad. Thousands of Greek island vacationers go to these islands and to other islands even more remote, every year, and enjoy them immensely. While its true we cant control the weather, we can and do offer assistance and re-scheduling should they become necessary and all at no extra charge. Think of us as your friend in Greece!
Feel free to change anything you please including the islands, hotel accommodations, durations and method of transport and we'll give you a free quote without obligation. Please see the Greek Island at a Glance page for more information.
