Hotel Athens - Grande Bretagne- 5 star - Syntagma
This is the most historic hotel in Athens, where folks like Winston Churchill and Dwight D. Eisenhower stayed. Its only steps from the parliament building, Acropolis, Plaka, and Kolonaki. If I could choose a hotel it would be this one. My parents even met here! Down side is that there is no pool. The Hilton would be my next choice and it has a pool. Both are totally re-furbished!

This is a very special hotel. Not only a landmark of the city, but always has been considered THE hotel of Athens. The property underwent a tremendous refurbishment in 2003 with all the rooms being completely re-designed and refurbished and many new facities for the new extension. The exterior was also given a stone-wash so that once again it sparkles like new. The management is without doubt on a par with the ambience and the impression, perfect!
